BMW F22/F30/F80 BUSHINGS & DRIVELINE MOUNTS

Whiteline Rear Differential Mount, BMW 1 Series E8X F2X 3 Series E9X F3X

Vorshlag is an Authorized dealer for Whiteline products and we offering their parts for the BMW E80, E90 and F-Series chassis.

Whiteline's differential bushing solutions ensure pinion angles are maintained while delivering an improved gear shift resulting in reduced initial torque loss and greater power transfer to the wheels. Their elastomer bushings are firmer than the OEM rubber units, preventing slop in the mounts.

This kit includes three Whiteline bushings that replace the OEM differential mount bushings.

Includes:

  • Two 49.3mm two-piece polyurethane bushings, sleeves and washers
  • One 67.8mm single-piece polyurethane bushing, sleeve and washer
  • Fits 2003-13 E80 and E90 except M3, 2011-20 F20, F30 and F80 except M4/M4

The factory rubber bushings are soft rubber and include large "voids" that allow the differential housing to bounce around inside these sloppy mounts. The Whiteline KDT919 kit replaces the stock rubber bits with polyurethane bushings and machined steel inner sleeves.

INSTRUCTIONS

There is no good way to remove the OEM bushings while the subframe is mounted in the car. That has to be dropped out of the chassis and the differential itself unbolt from this subframe. This is not a "small job" and if you are going to the trouble to install these differential mount bushings it would be smart to also install the Whiteline KDT917 subframe bushing kit also.

With the subframe removed from the chassis, then you can use a portable press like this (see below) to push out the stock bushings. This is not a super common tool, and you might need custom tubing sleeves to support and push the bushings and outer steel shells out. They will fight you every inch.

With these removed from the 3 locations, the new Whiteline bushings go in with a little effort. A C-clamp can push these in place. Once these are in, grease the inner bore of the bushing and slid the steel sleeves in place.

If you are taking this to a shop to install, better budget at least 7 hours of shop time to remove the subframe, swap out the bushings, and reinstall them back in place. Adding the 4 subframe mount bushings at the same time only adds about 2.5 hours overall, versus doing that as a separate task later (about 9 hours on its own).
