Jobs At Vorshlag

Vorshlag Motorsports was founded in 2005 and specializes in designing and building automotive suspension products on our CNC machines and in our fabrication shop. We have also been developing LS V8 engine swaps since 2002, with many hundreds of engine swap kits sold for various BMW chassis, Toyota 86/FR-S/Subaru BRZ, and Mustangs. Vorshlag also builds race cars, performs suspension installations, and we tackle select fabrication jobs. We scaled back on "customer car work" in 2022 to focus more on new product development work, but always have a number of shop owned cars we are building for product development and competition use.

Vorshlag is also a reseller of select brands of automotive products for both the car and driver. Much of the work we do and products we sell are geared toward sports cars used in autocrossing, track events / Time Trial, hill climbs, rallycross, and W2W road racing. Our facility is located in Princeton, Texas at an undisclosed location (not open to the public - less distraction). We have a clean, inviting, climate controlled, well lit shop with a great group of folks that makes for a fun place to work. You can read more about Vorshlag on our "About Us" page.

Our company has grown from a two person "after-hours" garage-based operation in 2005 to a full time sales/design/fab shop/manufacturing facility that has dealers all over the world. We moved to our current building in 2018 and we still need to add talented, passionate gear heads to our team as we grow. Tired of toiling away in a dead end position, working in a hot shop on boring cars - or working in an industry that you have zero passion for? How does "working with race cars", or "designing the best engineered suspension parts on the planet" for a living sound? See if your dream job is right here.

If you see one of our current openings below that fits your background, feel free to e-mail us a cover letter and attach a resume to hr@vorshlag.com. Please use the e-mail address shown - Thanks.

Current Job Listings

Here is our current listings of jobs at our facility. Come join our team!

Performance Technician

We have a full time opening for someone skilled in performance automotive mechanic work. This is a full time position, working 8-5 pm weekday job at our Princeton, TX facility. Skills needed include:

  • Experience with modern sports car mechanical work, including basic repair and diagnostics
  • Ability to perform clean and efficient wiring work with an emphasis on motorsports grade components and wiring style
  • Experience with performance related upgrades to suspension systems, braking, and drivetrain
  • Will interface with our Shop Manager on suspension installations, chassis work, and other performance automotive upgrades and new product development

This is not your typical "bolt on parts" gig, and we are not a boring car repair shop. Vorshlag has extensive fabrication tooling and capabilities to make one-off parts quickly, so if we run into an issue and need something like a custom bracket made - a cardboard template can become a CNC plasma cut part in minutes. If you like a challenge, and developing cutting edge suspension components in the motorsports industry excites you, please e-mail us your experience and resume to hr@vorshlag.com.

CNC Machine Operator

We have a full time opening for someone skilled in CNC machine operation, setup, and tool loading. Vorshlag currently has two CNC mills, a CNC lathe, and a CNC plasma table - all purchased within the last 3 years. We use these to produce a wide variety of our suspension parts. We are looking for someone that has experience with CNC machines to work in our shop.

This is a full time position, working 8-5 pm weekday job at our Princeton, TX facility. Skills needed include:

  • Experience operating CNC mills and lathes
  • Ability to load tools, set zeros, load programs, write CAM programs, and parse G-code
  • Daily coolant testing and maintaining way oil levels for all machines
  • Ability to diagnose tooling and machine issues after any crash or tool failure
  • Familiarity with fixtures, tooling, and other equipment used in a CNC shop
  • This position will interface with our Operations Manager (who schedules products to be made) and our Engineering Manager (who will tackle some CAD and some CNC programming)

Our new CNC Machine Operator needs to interface with our engineers for prints, the operations manager to schedule parts and acquire materials, work with and guide another CNC operator, and the shop owner. We strive for the best quality, close tolerances (parts must be checked regularly), good part aesthetics, and overall shop efficiency. If you like a challenge, and working in the motorsports industry excites you, please e-mail us your experience and resume to hr@vorshlag.com.
