G-LOC Front Pads for Subaru GD/GR STi

G-LOC Brakes feature a unique brake pad technology that is now being used by pro racers, club racers, tuners, and law enforcement agencies across the country. These pads are for the front 2004-2017 Impreza STi Brembo calipers.

G-LOC Brakes utilize a ceramic and metallic construction in a range of compounds that out-perform competitive brakes. G-LOC brakes are made from compounds that offer higher initial bite, torque and fade resistance—providing consistent brake modulation and performance over a wide range of operating temperatures.

In addition, G-LOC brakes are rotor friendly, saving money and keeping your vehicle out of the service shop far longer than the competition.

G-LOC Brakes give you:

  • Assured stopping power
  • Increased overall performance and handling
  • Excellent modulation and release characteristics
  • Better control entering the corners
  • Longer brake pad and rotor life—up to four times longer than the competition!
  • Longer rotor life
  • Non-corrosive dust

GS-1

The GS-1 is our high performance street compound. The GS-1 compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness.GS-1  is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound's excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. The GS-1 operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800°F (426°C+). GS-1 is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. GS-1 is NOT recommended for ANY track use.

R6

The R6 is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50°F to 1100°F + (10°C to 593°C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. AX6™ offers high fade resistance, rotor friendliness at all temperatures and excellent cold stopping power. As a result, R6 is an excellent choice for Autocross and has gained tremendous popularity with SCCA Prosolo/Solo2 competitors for its outstanding all around performance. Many drivers use the R6 for street driving as well, even though we don't recommend street driving with R6 due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. R6 is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications. For application questions please call or email us.

R8

A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200°F-1350°F+ (93°C to 732°C+). G-LOC R8 is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Excellent as a front brake pad for lighter applications weighing around 2,400lbs or less. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. G-LOC does NOT recommended R8 as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. The R8 is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers.

R10

The R10 has a very strong initial bite friction material with a coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1650°F (898°C). Due to the high level of friction and bite, this material is recommended for cars weighing around 2,900lbs or less. R10 still maintains the highly praised release, excellent modulation and rotor friendliness that have made all G-LOC compounds so successful. R10 is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise

R12

Another highly successful R series compound with an excellent initial bite, torque and fade resistance over and above the R10  compound. R12 has temperature range of 250°F to 2000°F+ (121°C to 1093°C+). The R12 has excellent release and modulation that has made all other G-LOC compounds so successful. The R12 is more rotor aggressive than R10, but compared to the competition the R12 is still very rotor friendly. R12 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

R16

The latest iteration of the highly successful R series of compounds. R16 is a step up from the highly successful R12 compound. With an extremely aggressive initial bite, the most linear torque curve to date and excellent fade resistance the R16 leads the highly successful R series line of compounds from G-LOC. R16 has a temperature range of 275°F to 2000°F+ (135°C to 1093°C+). R16 maintains our tradition of having the outstanding release and modulation that has made all other G-LOC compounds so successful. The R16, as with other G-LOC compounds, is very rotor friendly. R16 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

R18

The R18 compound is based on the same fundamentals that exist in all other G-LOC formulations. R18 has even more initial bite, more overall bite, and more torque along with the most linear torque curve we have ever offered. The thermal characteristics are of the highest G-LOC offers along with one of the highest coefficient of friction ratings offered by anyone in the braking industry. This compound is the longest wearing compound G-LOC offers as it was originally engineered for endurance applications at the highest pro racing levels. This revolutionary new compound has been extremely successful with open wheel, closed wheel, sprint and endurance applications. R18 has a temperature range of 400°F to 2000°F+ (204°C to 1093°C+). R18 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise along with the necessary heat required to work properly.

R14

The R14 compound was engineered for endurance racing based on our highly successful R Series formulations. R14 is our longest lasting compound that we offer. R14 has strong initial bite, a little less modulation than our R12, but still maintains the rotor friendliness of our R series compounds. With a good initial bite and one of the most consistent torque curves in the market the R14 compound is easy to keep a consistent bite and torque throughout the braking zone. Great fade resistance with a temperature range of 250°F to 1650°F+ (121°C to 898°C). R14 is as rotor friendly as our R series compounds. R14 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.
