Vorshlag campaigned a 2006 "narrow body" C6 Corvette from 2021-2022 and we utilized many sets of wheels and tires on that for two seasons of Time Trial competition in SCCA and NASA series.
We learned some crucial lessons on this car - the narrow body chassis can fit an 11" wide wheel, but it requires an unusually high backspace. We had the red 3-piece Jongbloed wheels (shown above left) custom built to the tune of $4200, and that is what we used in competition, mounted with 315/30R18 Yokohama A052 tires. The 19x10" wheels were some clearance items we got that worked "OK" but the 10" width was a big limitation to tire width - we used these with 275mm Hankook RS4 tires only for early testing.
While we wanted to get a second set of 18x11" wheels, we could not find anything that had the right offset - everything that wide was made for the wide body C6 - the ZR1, Grand Sport and Z06.
In September of 2022 we found these OZ Alleggerita HLT wheels in 18x11 ET75, which was almost exactly what we made the Jongbloed custom set to! We found two in black and two in gold - what we could find at the time. The plan was to strip the finish and powder coat them to match, but we never got to that step.
After attempting to mount these wheels we realized they were made for a GM bolt pattern but not the C6 Corvette hub diameter. They were off by 2 mm - not to worry, we have CNC machines. We machined the hub bores to the C6 size and then test fit them to the car.
This set of 2 gold and 2 black wheels are brand new, never had tires mounted, and will make somebody with a narrow body C6 very happy. These are a light, proven model of OZ wheels in an unusual offset that you likely won't find anywhere else. We are selling these at a loss because the buyer of our narrow body Corvette - who bought the 3 other sets of wheels we had for this car - left this one behind.
