This custom Trinity based intake was built after many, many hours of machining, TIG welding, hand grinding / sanding / blending, and then powder coating. We used this on a 454" LS7 with Brodix BR7 heads. The intake ports were port matched to these heads. This intake will not work on an LS1 or LS3 style head.
This was built for a large displacement (454" / 7.4L) LS7 based engine with Brodix BR7 heads. With 93 octane fuel and only 11.5:1 it made 627 whp at 7100 rpm. This thing has MASSIVE intake airflow and with higher compression should easily make power to 8000 rpm.
We utilized this intake manifold and throttle body at 4 track days and 1 autocross in our shop LS550 Mustang. It made great power but we felt that the throttle response was not correct for our road course use. We changed to an MSD Atomic and 103mm NW throttle body and dropped 17 whp, with a lower peak power RPM.
This setup is in perfect condition and ready to go on your LS7 headed LS V8 engine. This included the intake, the fuel rail kit from BTR, and the NW throttle body. Add your own injectors and you are good to go.
We spent over 30 hours designing / programming / machining the front flange; cutting / TIG welding / blending the flange to the plenum; port matching / blending / sanding the plenum inside; then bead blasting / powder coating the final assembly. You can see many more steps in the slideshow of images we have added.
