Introduction
This product entry is for a bracket custom made by Vorshlag to install a 1-piece racing seat into the GT86/BRZ/FRS. This "chassis bracket" bolts to the factory floorpan holes and provides a flat surface to mount seat side mount brackets. Optionally, you can add a dual-locking slider between the chassis bracket and side mount brackets. Because seats come in a variety of widths, and there are an even wider range of side brackets, you will have to calculate the position of the side bracket mounting holes and drill them. We do not cut slots into the mounting surface due to the reduction in strength and potential for deformation that slots create. The chassis bracket has an expansive, flat, mounting area to accommodate a wide range of seats. There is no accommodation for the stock seat belt on this bracket.

Why did we make these brackets for the GT86? It came down to having seen so many other seat brackets on the market first hand. Most were just too flimsy and flexible, some simply did not fit the chassis, others had a "shot gun" blast of random holes, most raised the seat up 1-3 inches higher than necessary. The Vorshlag mounting bracket is precision CNC cut then bent and welded to fit the mounting holes on the chassis, against our fixtures. This design has keyed slots cut to fit the welded reinforcing ribs underneath, which add rigidity and strength to the design. The stack-up height of these brackets is minimal - these are just tall enough to clear the floor, and no more.
Vorshlag seat mounting brackets are built 100% in-house here at Vorshlag. Once you receive our base brackets, you will have to source side brackets and mount those to your racing seat. Then line up the mounting holes on the bottom of the seat bracket, mark and drill those mounting holes into the base bracket. If you are using a slider you will similarly have to mark and drill those holes instead.
Our kit includes 4 eyelets and nuts for clip-in harness ends - please safety wire the clips on the harness ends once installed. There are 4 pairs of anti-sub anchor mounting holes (middle of plate) and 2 lap belt anchor locations (rearward) - or you can drill your own to fit your seating position better.
