This entry is for a custom built 3.0" diameter aluminum driveshaft that is made to be used with a Tremec TXK 5-spd transmission behind an LSx V8 for the BMW E46 chassis to mate to the 210mm "large case" E46 M3 differential, which has a 6 bolt pinion flange. The length is perfect when used with our LS swap engine and transmission mounts. The driveshaft includes Spicer U-joints, a Tremec TKX specific input yoke, and custom rear differential flange. We do not guarantee fitment if used with other engine or transmissions mounts.
The BMW "center bearing" mounts need to be cut out of the way from the tunnel, as shown above. This is a 1-piece driveshaft, not a 2-piece like the BMW bits. We developed this V8 swap driveshaft and our V8 swap drivetrain mounts so that the driveshaft can tuck up inside the tall BMW transmission tunnel. This allows the exhaust to fit within that area as well (see below).
This driveshaft is made to fit the Vorshlag LS swap kit in an E46 chassis with an E46 M3 differential housing with a Tremec TKX. Not some junkyard transmission, not some random Chinese built V8 swap mounts, not any automatic trans - just what we stated. Have questions? Call us.
