Vorshlag sells the Tremec T56 Magnum for use with a number of our GM LS swap kits - this unit can be used with our kits, but the Magnum-F shifter position is a better fit. This transmission is brand new, rated for 700 ft-lbs of torque, and comes in two ratio options.

Known in its original equipment form as the 'TR-6060', the T56 Magnum is direct-shift aftermarket version of the same transmission found in many of the most celebrated factory super cars – including the C6 ZR1 Corvette and ACR Viper – giving you refinement where you want it and strength where it counts.

NOTE: The T56 Magnum is 1.5" shorter than the production 1998-2002 Camaro T56 or the T56 Magnum-F. This is a brand new "direct shift" transmission 6-speed based off the updated TR-6060 unit, which is much stronger than the original Camaro Borg-Warner T56 transmission.
The T56 Magnum gives the perfect length to align with the stock shifter location, making it work well for for the the BMW E36, E46, and E36 RHD chassis and an accompanying Vorshlag LS V8 swap kit. This need very limited trimming of the shifter opening in the transmission tunnel. This transmission includes a Tremec shifter base (as shown in these pictures) but no shift handle or knob.

We pick the "Wide" ratio box for street cars, as 5th and 6th gears allow for highway cruising with low RPMs and good gas mileage. The "Close" ratio box is better for dedicated track cars, as the 2nd and 3rd gear ratios are more suitable for use on a road course. The "Hybrid" ratio is ideal for dual purpose cars that need the low gears for starting from a stop but would like the shorter overdrives for track use.
