When Vorshlag was developing the S550 Mustang LS1 swap kit, we tested with many different LSx oil pans including LS1 Camaro, LS1 Corvette, LS2, LS truck, and the Holley retrofit oil pans. While some of them fit down in the S550 crossmember, few had the capacity and features of this inexpensive pan.
This Summit oil pan fit perfectly. Not only that, the quality of construction is decent and the feature list works for our motorsport oriented swaps. Long story short - we built our S550 LS swap kit around this Summit oil pan.

This Summit LSx pan is a complete kit and comes with all of the parts needed to bolt it to virtually any Gen III or Gen IV LSx engines. They are hand built to a high standard and once you see it in person, you will understand. This isn't an entry level pan made to the lowest price. If you are using our S550 LS swap motor mounts, transmission crossmember, and headers, this is the last piece of the puzzle you need - even if you don't buy it from Vorshlag. But you should buy it from Vorshlag; we have it at a great price and (usually) have them in stock.
