The 2019 GRID Q was designed to provide the ultimate lateral support, racing ergonomics and safety. This unique design incorporates individual padding that is attached by Velcro. This padding design allows for ventilation channels. The GRID Q features a brand new shell design that has deep side bolsters and very supportive shoulder bolsters for excellent lateral hold. In addition to the unique padding and shell design, the Grid Q is now made with Sparco QRT Technology which results in an ultra-light shell. The side cushion can be removed to give more room for a larger fit. The Grid Q features harness slots that can accommodate a large range of drivers. The Grid Q is FIA approved

QRT Technology gives an average weight savings of 30% when compared to standard fiberglass technology. The main benefit is that QRT seats approach the weight of carbon fiber seat at the price of a fiberglass composite seat.
Like virtually all composite, fixed mount, FIA racing seats these are side-mount seats. This means you will need to purchase side mount brackets to begin to mount these into a car. We have had good results with OMP steel short side brackets, which we have listed in this same section. Even with those we frequently modify the side brackets to get seats low enough.
Most cars don't have a flat floor to bolt the side brackets to so we usually end up making adapter "sub-brackets" for the side mounts (with flat bottoms) to bolt to, so everything lines up with the chassis floor. Sometimes we will mount the anchors for the lap and/or anti-sub brackets to this sub-bracket. If you need to adjust the seat, low profile double-locking sliders are available.
