Weight: Shell 16.5lbs (7500g) Seat 19.2lbs (8700g)
Designed and developed in Italy by Sparco, QRT technology is destined to generate the world's lightest fiberglass frames and to define the features of the sports seats of the future. With this technology Sparco sets new standards of seat performance, reducing the unit weight by 30% compared to previous seats - enabling unprecedented mechanical strength/weight ratios in fiberglass sports seats.
The Circuit II QRT is a wider version of the Circuit which is an ultra-light competition seat specifically designed for circuit use. Made from aramadic fiber-reinforced fiberglass with all-new QRT Technology, the Circuit II QRT features a wider shell to accommodate a larger driver. The Circuit II LF includes integrated head bolsters to protect the head and deep side bolster for maximum lateral containment. This seat can be used with a Hans device for even greater protection. The ultra-light shell is then wrapped in an impact-absorbing and fire retardant fabric that helps hold the body. The Circuit II QRT is FIA approved.
QRT Technology gives an unparalleled mechanical strength/weight ratio for fiberglass composite racing seats. QRT Technology gives an average weight savings of 30% when compared to standard fiberglass technology. The main benefit is that QRT seats approach the weight of carbon fiber seat at the price of a fiberglass composite seat.
Like virtually all composite, fixed mount, FIA racing seats these are side-mount seats. This means you will need to purchase side mount brackets to begin to mount these into a car. We have had good results with OMP steel short side brackets, which we have listed in this same section. Even with those we frequently modify the side brackets to get seats low enough.
Most cars don't have a flat floor to bolt the side brackets to so we usually end up making adapter "sub-brackets" for the side mounts (with flat bottoms) to bolt to, so everything lines up with the chassis floor. Sometimes we will mount the anchors for the lap and/or anti-sub brackets to this sub-bracket. If you need to adjust the seat, low profile double-locking sliders are available.
