Coilover springs typically come in one of three diameters: 2.25\", 60mm and 2.5\". Ground Control coilovers are supplied with 2.5\" dia and TCKline supplied coilovers are 60mm dia springs. KWs coilovers tend to be 60mm but some of these and some Bilstein PSS series coilovers use the OEM upper perch (a tapered spring - see pics below). There are also new struts and updates to existing models that come out from time to time. This high quality hex wrench comes with a \"ball\" end that can engage the Allen Head bolts at an angle - helpful when the factory has a small strut tower opening or if you have a strut brace covering part of the top of the strut tower. These are used in conjunction with the Vorshlag Rear Ride Height adjusters on top of the spring, while these are located on the bottom where the stock rubber mount used to be.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt full droop (when a car is raised by a jack) on the rear suspension a 5 to 5.5\" long coilover rear spring can become slightly unloaded, when sitting between the factory upper pin and our ride height adjuster. The OEM style rubber bushing assembly allows the proper articulation of the shock under suspension movement (it pivots at this mount) but has added deformation that you don't see with a spherical. They can also fail spectacularly. Polyurethane RSMs are too rigid and do not articulate well, causing bind, and this allows unnecessary flexing of the rear sheet metal where it mounts (this area is prone to cracks and breakage when poly mounts are used). Vorshlag Spherical RSMs do a better job than the other two - a metal spherical ball bearing that smoothly articulates with no bind. The metal tolerances are tight, for a slop-free use, which won't delay the damper inputs.
